TECHNICIAN - TELECOMS DUTIES The successful applicant will be responsible to the Director of Telecommunications through the Earth Station Engineer and will be required to maintain the IMC/ITMC associated with the Nauru Earth Station, a standard 'B' station working to an intelsat satellite. He will be required to also maintain the telegraph equipment, teleprinters data modern, terminals and error correction equipment. He will also be expected to familiarise himself with the operation of and assist in the maintenance of the Earth Station. QUALIFICATIONS The applicant should have worked recently in an ITMC and should have considerable practical experience in the repair and maintenance of associated transmission equipment, including P.C.M., V.F.T., Data Modems Keyboards, C.R.T.S., Limcompex and ARQ systems, electronic teleprinters (preferably extel) microprocess/digital equipment. Knowledge of or practial experience in the functioning of an. earth station would be of advantage. SALARY Australian Dollars 8554.00 to 9412.00 per annum — Tax Free. RESEARCH OFFICER Applications are invited for the position of Research Officer at the New Zealand University Students' Association Office in Wellington. The successful applicant would be one of two Research Officers, responsible to the National Executive and President, and would assist the association's elected officers in the implementation of NZUSA's policies.
