Shipping news Reefer awaits cargo

Another Danish reefer ship is sitting at Lyttelton awaiting a cargo. She is the 5915-ton Tunisian Reefer, part of the Lauritzen fleet and sister ship to the Peruvian Reefer, which became a familiar sight at port last year. The Tunisian Reefer, painted in the red-and-cream colours of Lauritzen. arrived at port a week ago carrying fruit. She is berthed at No. 3 West. "She is waiting for employment." said a spokesman for Scales, the ship's agent. Being a reefer ship, she is awaiting a refrigerated cargo, possibly New Zealand export meat. " Her company will be hoping her stay will not stretch out to the record 83 days the Peruvian Reefer spent at port last year.
