Sex star sued for slander
Seeing a still very youthful-looking Audrey Hepburn, now aged 53, on the “Salute to Fred Astaire” on TV on Saturday night, made me think of other female film stars who have weathered remarkably well. The best example I could find is this recent photograph
of Brigitte Bardot, now aged 47. Miss Bardot, the one-time sex goddess of France, is to appear in court next month accused of slander. A noted naturalist and animal lover who campaigns for animal conservation, she is
said to have gone into a florist shop in the French resort town of St Tropez, where she now lives, and accused the florist of beating her cat to death. The florist claims that the cat died as a result of “some sort of a brainstorm,” and is suing the star for slander.
