A man, aged 77, of Ohio, shot his daughter-in-law and then himself in what the police said was an argument over what television programme they were going to watch. Officers said that George Knapp died about an hour later when he shot himself in the head. Betty Adkins, his daughter-in-law, was in fair condition after being shot four times with a handgun. — Portsmouth.
