Names mandatory on flight luggage
PA Auckland Air New Zealand will refuse to carry unlabelled luggage on domestic flights from January 1) according to an airline spokesman yesterday. He said the move resulted from a resolution by the International Air Transport Association aimed at reducing the misplacement of - bags. The spokesman said it would be mandatory for passengers to have their names
on luggage. He said that if travellers did not want to put their address on the label a separate identification label could be left inside the bag. The airline hopes the move will speed . the return of misplaced luggage and reduce the number of bags taken inadvertently by the wrong passenger. Air New Zealand will have identification labels available at domestic terminals.
