Rattray out with injury
The Canterbury batsman. Peter Rattray, has withdrawn from the team to meet Central Districts in the limited-overs Shell Cup match at Dudley Park, Rangiora, today. Rattray suffered a badly bruised instep when struck by a delivery from Derek Stirling during the trophy game with Central, and has been advised to rest until the match with Auckland at Auckland on January 1.
The convener of the Canterbury selection panel, Mr Don McKendry, said yesterday that Dayle Hadlee, the team coach, had been added to the 12 for the game today. The player to be left out will not be named until this morning.
