Council elections
In a report in “The Press” last Friday about Christchurch City Council elections, it was. said that Cr Alister James had been named last February to fill a vacancy caused by the death of Mr John Mathison. This was incorrect. Cr James replaced the late Sir Robert Macfarlane. The late Mr Mathison was a member of the Christchurch Transport Board, not the City Council.
