Prince Edward is shown the interior of Captain Scott’s Discovery Hut of 1902, by Mr Jack Fry, of the National Museum, Wellington. In 1902 Captain Scott’s ship Discovery was frozen in off Hut Point and the party wintered there. The Prince, who left Christchurch for Antarctica on December 8 to visit historic sites and scientific projects, is expected back in Christchurch later this week.
