Air N.Z. sells DC10

PA Auckland Air New Zealand sold the last of its seven DCIO aircraft yesterday. The aircraft, bought by the Los Angeles-based marketing agency, International Lease Finance. Corporation, will be sold to French interests and enter the fleet of Mozambique’s national flag carrier, Linhas Aereas de Mozambique.

Air New Zealand would not disclose the price it received. The public affairs manager, Mr Craig Saxton, said the airline was pleased to have sold seven DClOs in a depressed and over-supplied market. The airline has been selling its DCIO fleet, which it replaced with Boeing 747 jets, for almost three years.
