Reports help steady market
A flurry of reasonable profit' reports by leading issues helped steady share prices on busy NewZealand stock exchanges yesterday. However, falls still outnumbered rises. Dominion Breweries firmed a further lc on its report, but Goodman Group eased 3c to 157 c in spite of a higher pront. Market leaders were prominent in the falls. Carter Holt and Yates Corporation dropping 10c each. Canterbury Frozen Meat gained 12c ex dividend. Other issues to firm included the ANZ Banking Group. NewZealand South British and Wattie. The N.Z.U.C. industrial index rose 1.04 points.
