Recall of faulty irons
A brand of electric iron is being recalled to Rank Appliances in Auckland to have a wiring fault rectified. The company said that its General Electric FM 40E irons should be returned through retailers to its Glen Innes warehouse for adjust-
ment. The manufacturer in Australia has advised the company that some of the irons need modification to
secure the cord anchorage. A limited number of the irons have been sold in the South Island. Anyone owning one is asked to return it to the retailer from whom it was bought.
