U.S. investment
Sir, — Let us hope John Hutchison reads your editorial of November 25. On the same page his own article makes horrendous assumptions about the benefits that would accrue from United States investment in New Zealand. How then would he explain the economic tragedies of Brazil, Mexico and Venezuela noted in your editorial? These countries have been the “beneficiaries” of massive United States investment for years. Not forgetting Argentina, Chile . . . Yours, etc., W. H. THOMSON. November 25, 1982.
