Some householders in Lyttelton and Diamond Harbour face a severe water ageThe problem was caused by a leaking supply pipe, combined with high demand for water, on Friday morning. This has left one of the council’s water-storage areas virtually empty. “We would ask Lyttelton. Diamond Harbour. and Heathcote Valley residents to refrain from using garden hoses until the situation improves." said the Borough Engineer. Mr J. H. Christensen.
