Mr H. Morrison is an auctioneer with Dalgety N.Z., Ltd. It was incorrectly reported in the last “Property Market” that Mr Morrison worked for Wrightson N.M.A. A three-bedroomed brick and tile house at 8 Sunningvale Lane, Fendalton was passed in at auction on November 18 for $65,500. The house which has two large, sunny livingrooms has a G.V. (1980) of $45,000. It is sited on a 673 sq m northfacing section planted with mature trees.The auctioneer was Mr G. A. Woodley, of Binns, Barber and Keenan, Ltd. A three-bedroomed home of permanent materials at 18 Landsdowne Terrace in Cashmere was passed in at auction on November 23 for $70,250. The property, which includes an entrance hall, a sunroom, a dining room and a lounge, has a G.V. (1979) of $41,000. It is double-glazed and occupies a 607 sq m corner section with a garage, pergola and garden shed. The garden is well established. The auctioneer, Mr Barry Watson, of Watson’s Auctions and Real Estate, said that he was optimistic that the property would be sold privately.

A substantial split-level house at 15 Rastrick Street in Merivale was passed’ in at auction on November 18 for $44,000. The house comprises four bedrooms, a lounge, a dining room and a sitting room. It' was advertised as being in need of renovation. Together with its 25 perch section, it has a G.V. (1979) of $22,200. It was auctioned by Mr Peter Cook, of Simes and Company, Ltd, who said that a private sale was being negotiated. A concrete block commer-cial-industrial building at 55 Hilton Street in Kaiapoi was sold at auction on November 19 for $28,500. The property, only 100 metres from the main shopping area, has a G.V. (1981) of $51,500. It comprises a 432 sq m building with offices, toilet facilities and a cafeteria area on a 842 sq m section. The auctioneer was Mr Noel Gillman, of Gillman’s Real Estate. It was a mortgagee sale. A 5.4 ha horse training establishment at 102 Tosswill Road, Prebbleton, was passed in at auction on November 23 for $130,000. The property, which contains a well-sited two-

bedroomed stucco home, has a G.V. (1982) of $95,000. Improvements include; 14 loose boxes with yards and eight stables, a garage, a hay barn and an all-weather track. The auctioneer was Mr R. Stark of Wrightson N.M.A., Ltd. A private sale is being negotiated. Four vacant residential sections of about 1000 sq m in the Glentunnel township were sold at auction on November 24. Three went for $4OOO each, and the fourth for $3950. They were part of the original site of St John’s Anglican Church and, because they have been recently subdivided, they have no separate G.V. The auctioneer was Mr F. M. Templeton of Matson and Allan Real Estate, Ltd. A 1.2 ha property with a ranch-style, two-bedroomed house at 59 Moncks Bay Road, Redcliffs, was sold at auction on November 24 for $106,000. The holding includes a self-contained sleepout and a double garage with internal access. It overlooks the coastline. It was auctioned by Mr H. Morrison, of Dalgety Real Estate, Ltd, who said that 20 people attended the sale.
