Skellerup falls 25c
The New Zealand sharemarket ended the week on a mixed note in. busy trading yesterday. Skellerup was prominent with a 25c fall to 250 c after news of a proposed debenture issue, and Brierley Investments firmed 2c to 262 c in spite of a note of caution on its prospects, given at the annual meeting. The mining and oil sector was easier. Bridgevale falling 4c to 30c. Farmers' Trading Company rose 1c to 123 c after reporting an improved halfyearly profit which included results from the South Island stores taken over from the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association of Canterbury. The N.Z.U.C. industrial index firmed 0.14 points to 597.14.
