Because five Aranui High School girls were accredited University Entrance last week a kindergarten in Bassett Street, Burwood, is getting a colourfully painted fence. Like most high schools Aranui lets pupils who have been accredited work out the lame-duck days of the term on community projects. One of Aranui High’s projects this year is painting a 20 metre-long mural on the kindergarten fence. The five girls began painting last week and hope to finish by the end of the term. Four of the girls (pictured) are Angela van Vliet, Linda Albertson, Paula Schraa, and Carol Stevenson. The fifth, Cathryn Zank, was away when the photograph was taken.
