Because five Aranui High School girls were accredited University Entrance last week a kindergarten in Bassett Street, Burwood, is getting a colourfully painted fence. Like most high schools Aranui lets pupils who have been accredited work out the lame-duck days of the term on community projects. One of Aranui High’s projects this year is painting a 20 metre-long mural on the kindergarten fence. The five girls began painting last week and hope to finish by the end of the term.
