Girl charged
PA Auckland A girl, aged 14, appeared in the North Shore Children and Young Persons Court yesterday on charges of burglary and wilfully setting fire to a house on November 19.
The girl faced a third charge of wilfully committing an act of aggravated cruelty by killing three dogs, a cat and a bird, using a gurkha knife. Judge J. H. Murray remanded the girl in Social Welfare custody to December 10 for a psychiatric report.
