Wheat 82 Field-days programme
The following programme for the Wheat 82 field-days is repeated on both of the days — December 1 and 2. 9.00 a.m.: Gates open. 9.30 — 11.00: Escorted morning tour of contestants’ plots by Dr Warwick Scott (Lincoln College) and Bede McCloy (Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries). 11.00 — 12.00 noon: M.A.F. Plant Clinic open. Adjacent to the M.A.F. plots, this clinic will be manned by personnel from the Lindoln Plant Health Diagnostic Centre. 1.00 — 3.00 p.m.: The first of three guided walks across the Lincoln College Cropping Farm. A bus will leave from , the south end of the Wheat 82 site at 1.00 p.m., delivering its passengers at one side of the Cropping Farm. The bus will collect visitors from another point on the farm two hours later and return them to the Wheat 82 site.
Visitors will stop at several stands manned by experts during the course of the visit. A handout relating to the Cropping Farm will be available.
1.00 — 3.00: Escorted afternoon tour of the contestants’ plots by Dr Warwick Scott (Lincoln College) and Bede McCloy (Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries). 2.00 — 4.00: The second of the three guided walks across the Lincoln College Cropping Farm. A bus will leave for the Cropping Farm from the south end of the Wheat 82 site at 2.00 p.m. It will return visitors to Wheat 82 at 4.00 p.m. 2.00 — 3.00: M.A.F. Plant Clinic open adjacent to the M.A.F. plots. 3.00 — 5.00: The third and final guided walk across the Lincoln College Cropping Farm. A bus will leave for the Cropping Farm from the south end of the Wheat 82 site at 3.00 p.m. It will return visitors to Wheat 82 at 5.00 p.m. 5.00: Gates close.
