Triumphant return
NZPA-Reuter London Richard Harris, his days of hard drinking and hell-rais-ing behind him, returned to the London stage after 20 years this week watched by his two ex-wives.
Harris, 50, starred as King Arthur in a new production of the musical,- “Camelot,” and received a five-minute standing ovation after the three-hour performance. The musical.js scheduled to run for six months at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. Miss Ann Turkel, speaking about her ex-husband to reporters, said: “We are very close and I will always be by his side when he wants me.” The couple divorced earlier this year after eight years of marriage. Harris’s first wife, Elizabeth, who has now remarried, was also present.
