Freightways active
Share prices were mixed in active trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. The tone remained easy, and the N.Z.U.C. index lost 1.54 points. Carter Holt fell a further 5c to 305 c, putting its losses for the week at 20c. Other issues to ease 5c included Andas, Hauraki Enterprises, and New Zealand Steel. Cable Price Downer rose 11c ex dividend, and Capital City Radio recovered 10c. Freightways accounted for 40 per cent of the turnover, trading at a steady 200 c. Cory-Wright and Salmon fell 5c to 160 c in reaction to its profit decrease. Consolidated Metal Industries firmed 1c to 185 c on its improved result.
