Inquiry on elderly sought
PA. ? Wellington A Cabinet committee will look at a request for a commission of inquiry into the implications posed by an ageing population, the Prime Minister, .Mr Muldoon, has told Parliament. He was asked by Ms Fran Wilde (Lab. Wellington, Central) if he had received a request for a; qbmmission, after a seminar held at Victoria University. -
She said that the Government was to be asked to. investigate the development of integrated policies of income, maintenance, housing, health, employment, social services, and education. Mr Muldoon said that he had received a representation from the Wellington Old People’s Welfare Council, and would be referred to the Cabinet Committees on Family and Social Affairs.
