Properties Wanted

BHD ' n AUSTRALIAN buyer, cash in .hand, has just arrived in Christchurch and is dealing only with our firm. Being used to the high Australian property values, we feel that he will pay a top price when he sees the right home in Christchurch, especially as his requirements are so easily fulfilled. He is just bursting to renovate an older character home in any reasonable area, but he does have a preference for St Albans, Merivale, Avonside, Linwood, Papanul, Bryndwr or Riccarton. In actual fact we think he will look in most areas, if the house has a bit of potential. This is a buyer who is unafraid of really hard work, and it doesn’t matter how derilect the home is. He is so keen he will nearly rebuilt a property and start from scratch if necessary. Borer, dry rot and scruffy condition won’t worry him one iota. He has a real feeling for older homes and really loves them. Being such a competent handyman, he will eventually get things right, even if it takes years. He has done this in Australia. He prefers to pay cash, up to $40,000, but his solicitor can provide another $20,000 on mortgage so we tind his upper limit as being over $60,000, but he would obviously prefer to buy at a lower price, so he can do more to the property and put his own ideas and stamp on the place. This is genuine and urgent. You can be sure of an excel, sale, but he will let you stay on for quiet a while, if this suits you, because he is renting at present. He is keen to make a decision soon and will look at any property immediately. Replies treated as strictly confidential. Please contact W. J. C.
