NZPA Sydney Prices eased in quiet share trading in Sydney yesterday. Larger buying orders were scarce and some selling pressure was evident later in the day. The all-ordinaries index closed 4.2 points down at 491.9, the all-industrials fell 4.7 points to 626.3, and the all-resources closed 3.8 points down at 383.6. B.H.P. lost 4c at 662, CRA 5c at 375, MIM 8c at 355, and ERA 9c at 135.
Oil and gas issues eased, with Vamgas 20c down at 800, and Santos 8c at 562. Alliance, Beach, and Oil Company of Australia eased. Gold stocks fell with Peko 15c down at 480, Central Norseman 10c down at 710, and Poseidon 10c lower -at 410.
