The duties consist of regular meal deliveries round the property, checking the swimming pool during summer months and servicing and stoking small coal boilers in winter months. Hours are 8.30 to 9.30 a.m., 11 a.m.-12 noon, and 4-5 p.m. working two weekends in three. Duties will commence-on Saturday, December 4. The appointee will also be responsible for documentation related to students in all courses conducted at Civil Defence Headquarters. CHIEF CASUALTY AND RESCUE OFFICER-CIVIL DEFENCE The duties cover staff functions, instruction of volunteers, maintenance of stores, administration of Casualty Handling and Rescue Sections, documentation of personnel, liaison with other sections and supporting organisations. Preference will be given to applicants having experience in Civil Defence functions, but subject to their possessing other suitable qualifications, ■some training will be provided. The salary scale is in the range $15,213 to $18,904 and advancement is on merit.
