Argentina to get Exocets
NZPA " Saint-Nazaire. An Argentine cargo ship carrying French-made Exocet missiles and other military material has left the Atlantic Coast part of SaintNazaire for Argentina, said port officials. The officials, who insisted on anonymity, said that the Argentine freighter Bahia San-Blas left Saint-Nazaire yesterday carrying 200 tonnes of material including munitions, an unknown number of air-sea Exocet missiles, and five Super Etendard jet planes — the same type of aircraft used to launch the Exocet missiles which sank the Sheffield and Atlantic Conveyor during the Falklands war. The French Defence De- . partment, as is its policy, refused to comment on the reports. A spokesman added that only the purchasing nation could confirm or deny an arms deal with France.
