PA Wellington The Housing Corporation . plans a move towards direct crediting for rents and mortgage repayments, according to the director-general, Mr , H. J. King. The corporation would, progressively move all its ~ payments to automatic bank transfers or approved wage and salary orders, he said. The cost of handling cash
and receipts through agen-,. cies had increased from ■ ■ $750,000 in 1979 to an estim- ’ ated $3 million for the cur- ; rent year. All future offers of tenan- 1 cies and loans would require . payments through bank transfers or orders, he said.
