Moreno to race in N.Z.

Roberto Moreno, a Brazilian who was third behind Alain Prost and Jacques Lafitte in the Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne’s Calder Raceway nearly a fortnight ago and who won. this year’s New Zealand International Formula Pacific series, will be back to race in New Zealand next January. According to an overseas report, Moreno will contest the Grand Prix of Macau on November 21. It is a race in the newly-established Mondiale world championship series for Formula Pacific and Atlantic racers. He will also compete in the four Tasman Mondiale races, two of which are likely to be the New Zealand Grand Prix at Pukekohe and the Lady Wigram Trophy at Christchurch, although an official announcement has yet to be made. The other two Tasman races will be held in Australia, at Calder Raceway and Adelaide International Raceway, on February 6 and 13 respectively. Moreno will drive a new Ralt under the wing of Gregg Siddle, the man who masterminded his effort in New Zealand last January.
