Visit by Commodore
The Royal New Zealand Navy's commanding officer in Auckland will visit the Christchurch Naval Volunteer Reserve unit on Monday. The Commodore Auckland. Commodore C. J. Steward, will visit H.M.N.Z.S. Pegasus, naval facilities at Lyttelton, and call on civic and military dignitaries during his stay in Christchurch. A parade and inspection will be held at H.M.N.Z.S. Pegasus, where Commodore Steward will present decorations and awards to members of the ship's company.
Commodore Steward will leave Christchurch on Tuesday morning.
