Quality control conference
The Southern Division of the New Zealand Organisation for Quality Assurance has' begun work for the organisation’s fourth national conference, which will be held at Lincoln College next May. The organisation is a nonprofit making society whose aim is to improve quality awareness in the design, manufacture, processing, and servicing of New Zealandmade goods and services. It does its work by meetings, factory visits, arranging seminars and courses, and by ■working for the introduction of formal quality-control qualifications in universities and polytechnics. One of its more interesting recent measures has been the fostering of quality circles, the Japanese group project to improve quality control within a firm.
