The total unaudited group net profit of Atlas Majestic Industries, Ltd, fell 50.3 per cent to $325,000 in the six months to September-30. the directors announced yesterday. The net trading profit was ahead . 25.1 per cent to $523,000, but an extraordinary loss of $198,000 from the sale of ‘surplus assets ($236,000 profit previously) reduced the final result.
External sales rose 20 per cent to $15,730,000. No tax was payable in the latest period,, or in the previous corresponding half-year, because of losses carried forward. - A tax-free interim dividend of 2c a share (4 per cent) has been declared payable on December 20. ex dividend on December 3. No dividend was paid in the previous period.
