Call for free enterprise
PA Hastings A protest meeting of Hawke's Bay farmers has called for an immediate return to free-enterprise marketing of New Zealand's lamb and mutton exports.
The 200 farmers and processing industry representatives who filled the Maraekakaho Hall near Hastings on Tuesday were unanimous in their opposition to the Meat Board's takeover of export mutton and lamb.
