Sandra Manderson wins S.L judo
The Canterbury judo exponent, Sandra Manderson, was in top form when winning the senior women’s open title at the South Island championships in Nelson. Manderson is preparing for the women’s world championships in Paris in December. Phillip McSweeney (Canterbury) had a surprise win in the senior men's open and Shaun O’Leary (Southern) showed that he had recovered from an injury which kept him out of action for six months when he won the 71kg class.
