Student job problem
PA Wellington Co-ordinators of the student job search scheme have found only 2000 jobs so far, about 10 per cent of the number needed. Ms Shirley Hampton, the scheme’s national co-ordina-tor, has said that many of those jobs were only for a short time. While there was support for the scheme and employers were sympathetic, jobs were not available because of the economic climate. she said.
