Palace denies film theft
NZPA-Reuter London Buckingham Palace has categorically denied reports that a firm recording one of Prince Andrew’s visits to the London home of the actress, Koo Stark, has mysteriously disappeared. A spokesman also ruled out suggestions that personal letters written by the Prince to Miss Stark were missing with the film. “There is no foundation for these stories. No letters or films are missing,” he added. Newspaper reports asserted Palace detectives
have been trying to trace the items said to have disappeared from Miss Stark’s Belgravia flat when friends removed her possessions from the premises. The home-made film was reported to have been taken earlier this year when Prince Andrew and other friends visited the flat. In one shot, the Prince is said to be standing in the kitchen with his arms round Miss Stark. The Palace spokesman denied suggestions that the police were now investigating the alleged disappearance. “We understand from the
Metropolitan Police that no such investigation is taking place,” he said. • Miss Stark, an American citizen, flew to the United States after her much publicised Caribbean holiday with Prince Andrew. She has vacated her London flat. News that the young actress has appeared in soft porn films caused widespread controversy. There have been suggestions that another member of the holiday party was attempting to sefi a “Royal romance,” story to the press.
