Bus service application
The Christchurch Transport Board will include a service to Governor's Bay in its new rural services starting on November 15, if approval is given by the Transport Licensing Authority. The Transport Board’s general manager, Mr M. G. Taylor, said that the private bus driver at present running the service had applied to transfer his licence to the board. A hearing had been set down for November 4 and if the application was approved the board would introduce the Governor’s Bay service with the rest of its rural services in November. The service would cover two trips a day from Christchurch on weekdays with an extra trip on Tuesday.
