Permit refused
The only Dutch foreign correspondent assigned to South Africa has said that the Government had refused to renew his work permit and ordered him to leave the country by the end of this month. Gerard Jacobs, aged 29, said that he had been given no reason for the decision. Jacobs has been working in South Africa since mid-1980 for Dutch radio K.R.O. and television N.O.S. — Johannesburg.
