Renison tin output up
NZPA Sydney Tin production rose while gold, silver, and copper output fell in the quarter ended September 29 for Renison Goldfields Consolidated, Ltd, the group reports. The subsidiary, the Tasmanian tin miner, Renison, Ltd, reports that ore treated rose to 204,122 tonnes „ from 156,884 tonnes in the 1981 September quarter, ore grade increased to 1.05 per . cent from 1.03 per cent, concentrate produced rose to 3031 tonnes from 2327 tonnes, and tin metal in concentrates was lifted to 1610 tonnes (1123 tonnes). T Associated Minerals Consolidated, Ltd, wholly owned by RGC, said rutile production increased to 25,048 tonnes (19,809), synthetic ru-
tile rose slightly to 15,143 tonnes (14,854), ilmenite dropped to 25,113 tonnes (84,707), and zircon fell to 39,771 tonnes (41,077). The copper producer, the Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Company, Ltd, reported that ore treated fell to 304,367 tonnes (390,360), copper grade was unchanged at 1.173 per cent, and concentrates produced dropped to 12,807 tonnes (16,230). Metal output from Mount Lyell was copper 3319 tonnes (4246), gold 71,217 grams (103,453), and silver 517,305 grams (632,075).
