Teenage netball
Under-18 netball players will next season play in a series of regional tournaments, culminating in a national final to decide the New Zealand champion, says the president of the New Zealand Netball Association, Mrs Anne Taylor. Mrs Taylor said the Prudential Assurance Company would sponsor the tournaments, and also regional tournaments in the under-16 age group.
Nearly 1200 players would compete in the tournaments at the two age levels. The venues would not be decided until late November when the association finalised its calendar for next season, Mrs Taylor said.
