Vessel grounded
PA Dunedin The inter-island freight ferry Coastal Trader was grounded in Blanket Bay in Otago Harbour for about 90 minutes yesterday afternoon. The 2500-ton vessel, which is owned and run by the Shipping Corporation, was leaving Dunedin on her weekly run to Lyttelton when
her bow grounded in soft mud. Two Harbour Board tugs had the Coastal Trader off the mud by 6.45 p.m. and she was towed back to port for inspection. She was expected to resume her voyage late last evening. Picture, page 39
