Yacht refloated, towed to port
The Gannet yacht ' that broke from its moorings and sank in Diamond Harbour on Sunday, was refloated late yesterday afternoon. It was towed to the inner harbour by the coastguard vessel Margaret, assisted by the Rebecca. The president of the Canterbury Volunteer Coastguard Service. Mr H. Mason, said the Gannet was not badly damaged. A sea scout open cutter, swamped by the week-end .rough seas, is lying east of ’the yacht mooring in Diamond Harbour, the tip of its mast above water.
