Another super-mini

AWA's computer division will launch a new Microdata super-minicomputer in New Zealand this month. The Microdata Sequel computer is a 32-bit processor with a built-in operating system and relational data base management system. Microdata is a division of the McDonnell Douglas Corporation. In New Zealand the equipment is marketed and serviced by AWA Computer Division.

Compatible with the earlier Microdata Reality computer, the Sequel now gives Microdata users a growth path that can take them up to eight megabytes of main memory and 2000 megabytes of disc storage. A number of standard application programs are available for the family, as well as a word-processing system, a program generator, and a report writing and inquiry facility.
