Astral Row sprints fast

By J. J. BOYLE . Astral Row showed a brilliant turn of speed to shade her stablemate Treacle in one of few gallops on the trial grass at Riccarton yesterday. Both will run for Peter Jones’s stable in the Geraldine Challenge Stakes tomorrow. Astral Row has had better luck in the barrier draw and on yesterday’s gallop she will move up on the list of the stronger chances. Little Dan and Kusadasi did their work with a will to cover 1200 m in Imin 16.85, the last 600 m in 37.45. Auchentoshan did not have to do anything demanding in her final gallop for the Geraldine Challenge Stakes, 600 m in 40.25.

Dainty Dish was paired with her stablemate Spy Force for 600 m in 39.25.
