Leadership issue
Parliamentary reporter The Labour Party leadership issue was discussed briefly and “without acrimony" at the Labour Party caucus meeting yesterday, the party’s leader, Mr Rowling. told a post-caucus press conference. He declined to make any
further comment and when asked why. Mr Rowling repeated that he would not answer questions. The conference lasted for only five of the 15 minutes Mr' Rowling had available before he was scheduled to leave for Christchurch to attend the funeral of Mr Jock Mathison.
