Fewer visit timeball
Parliamentary reporter The Timeball Station at Lyttelton is declining in popularity, according to the annual report of the Historic Places Trust to Parliament. The station was visited by 12.562 people in 1979-80. 8411 in 1980-81, and 5774 in 198182. This is in contrast to the national figures. which showed 106.092 people visting tryst, properties in 1979-80. 109.612 in 1980-81, and 110,141 in 1981-82.
