Meeting disrupted
NZPA SydneyIndustrial action postponed the Rosehill race meeting in Sydney on Saturday when a dispute flared up between barrier staff and some trainers. The chief executive of the Sydney Turf Club (S.T.C.). Mr Pat Parker, announced the decision just before midday and the track remained open with free admission to allow betting on Brisbane and Mel-
bourne meetings. The postponement followed a meeting between the Australian Workers' Union (A.W.U.) and the S.T.C. where the union said its members would not work for the first race but would work for the rest of the meeting. The A.W.U. was then told by S.T.C. directors that they did not require the men to work.
