Audio visual presentations involving up to 24 projectors, linked together to give multiimage effects, can be created with this simple British programmer. Called the Electrosonic E 54603 Multivision, it can produce programmes prepared either on a standard microcomputer or. if only three projectors are used, by a small hand
controller. Synchronising electronic signals can be recorded on to the control track — on a standard cassette — tb give as many as 20 permutations of visual effects per second for up to 24 projectors. Slide position data are also included, so that wherever the tape is started the slides are automatically put in the
right order. The E 54603 is intended to work in conjunction with Electrosonic E 54003 Eurosonic projector controllers, each of which can control three slide projectors, and can be linked to as many as eight units. When switched to continuous operation, the E 54603 resets the programme at the
end of the show and immediately restarts when the tape is rewound and the projectors are ready to begin. When the amt is in “autopresent” mode a push button switches on power to the projectors and runs the show. When this has ended everything resets, and the projector power is automatically switched off.
