Women’s cricket gets under way

Sue Brown and Nancy Williams placed Sydenham in a good position against St Albans in the women’s senior cricket competition on Saturday. After outstanding bowling spells in the St Albans innings. Brown and Williams shared a partnership which put Sydenham ahead on the first innings with seven wickets standing. Brown, who took five for 33 and Williams, three for 31, destroyed the .St Albans top order. A partial recovery was made byKaren Hadlee, who scored a fighting 45. When Sydenham batted.
