National Party policy
Sir. — M. T. Moore’s claim that Russia signed a non-ag-gression pact with Nazi Germany because she could not obtain an anti-Nazi agreement with Britain is propaganda which few New Zealanders will swallow.. Britain and France warned Germany that if she invaded Poland war would be declared. When Germany invaded Poland from the west Russia invaded her from the east and they divided the spoils between them. Forty two years later Poland is still under Russian domination, the people queueing up for food and unable to obtain a measure of freedom in its trade union movement. Trade unionists here should heed the warning and resist communist attempts to dominate them. — Yours, etc.,
