Another ‘unsung hero’
The winner of last years Radio New Zealand Starquest. Craig Cave, is Radio New Zealand’s "unsung hero" for October.
Craig, who turns 20 this month, was born' and bred in Rotorua. He started singing when he got his first guitar at 12. learning the basics from his father. After playing in school productions and
several talent quests. Craig won the male vocal section of the New Zealand Gold Clef Country Awards in 1978. He also opened the Tom T. Hall concert in Hamilton. Since winning the Radio New Zealand Starquest last year. Craig has been writing a lot of his own material and hopes eventually to put some on record. Three of his original songs. "Don’t Scorn Your Brother," "Speed" and "Room In The Sky" are being featured during October on the "Tonight Show" on the community network.
