Springbok tour?
NZPA Lisbon The Portuguese Rugby Federation said yesterday it had no knowledge of a reported two-week tour of Portugal by the South African Springboks. South African radio reported that the team would arrive in Lisbon yesterday at
the start of the tour. Portugal’s national news agency, ANOP said. But a spokesman for the Portuguese federation said the Springboks were scheduled to tour only Brazil, Argentina and France. He said the South Africans could make a stop-over in Portugal but stressed they would play no matches.
